Marine Services Commercial Diving Co. is the brain child of Tom Devine. Tom was a hard working, dedicated man who had a remarkable knack for always finding a solution to even the most difficult and demanding jobs. With his wife Janet, he started a small diving business in his backyard in early 1968.
The business grew, and in 1977 they were able to move to the present facility. In 1982 they expanded into two divisions, adding hydrostatic testing capability. In a few more years they were able to expand the new division to include hyperbaric services. After Tom's death in 1994, and with much regret, the diving division was closed and the hyperbaric and hydrostatic divisions remained and have thrived. In September of 2005 the company was sold to Tim Kiley (a long time employee) and Jim Stanton (a retired USN Master Diver). Part of our mission here at Marine Services is to live up to the exacting standards set by Mr. Tom Devine. We continue this business in his honor. Marine Services Commercial Diving Co. was established in 1968 as a diving company but has since discontinued diving as a primary service and focused on designing, installing and recertification of air and oxygen systems, hydrostatic testing, sandblasting and painting and other testing and certification of pressure vessels. We provide design, installation, maintenance and precision cleaning and testing of high pressure gases and life support systems for military and civilian customers. We continue this work because we enjoy it and the experience is priceless. We have all necessary permits to operate, and have an up-to-date record of inspections. These permits include: Naval Sea Systems command authorization to conduct Gauge comparison work, conduct Oxygen and air component cleaning in accordance with MIL Std 1330 and 1622 respectively. These agencies regulate our business in the following manner; Annual inspections and random visits to ensure compliance. |
