Marine Services Commercial Diving Co. provides design, installation, maintenance and precision cleaning and testing of high pressure gases and life support systems for military and civilian customers. We continue this work because we enjoy it and the experience is priceless.

We have all necessary permits to operate, and have an up-to-date record of inspections, including: Naval Sea Systems command authorization to conduct Gauge comparison work, conduct Oxygen and air component cleaning in accordance with MIL Std 1330 and 1622 respectively.

Agencies regulate our business with annual inspections and random visits to ensure compliance.

Recertification of diving life support systems including: MK III, FADS III (mixed gas), TRCS, Diving Module, Roper Carts.

- Pressure air/gas receivers - all sizes and types
- Piping/hoses/fittings
- Related flow valves/relief valves/drain valves
- Gauges/regulators
- Encapsulations (frames and mounting)

Diver air / life support and ship's service / commercial air compressors most frequently serviced at the MSCD facilities are:
    Mako, Quincy, Rix, Bauer and Ingersoll-Rand

We currently have factory trained and certified technicians available to service all makes and brands of compressors and associated air systems.

New Air Systems:

High and low pressure systems and/or components designed, remanufactured and certified to applicable Civilian and/or NavSea/NavFac/SubPac Specifications and requirements:

- Design and manufacture
- NDT inspection as required
- Hydrostatic test
- Cleaning (air or 02) to Mil Std 1330 or 1622 and CGA 4.1 Standards
- Level II drawings supplied
- Operational and emergency procedure instructions

Valves

All units are repaired and serviced to applicable Civilian and /or Military Standards Specifications:
- Cleaned to Military Standards, Air or Oxygen
- Repaired or overhauled if necessary
- Tested to Military Standards

Low & Medium Pressure Receivers:

All types and various size receivers tested and recertified to applicable civilian and/or military specifications either on-board ship or at our facility.
- Preliminary clean-up
- Visual Inspection
- Repairs completed if needed
- Hydrostatic tested
- Abrasive blast and marine grade paint system

Receivers (usually air) serviced by MSCD come from all types of systems including, but not limited to, diving/life support, PVHO's, ship's service air and commercial shop air.

High Pressure Flasks:

All size flasks are tested and re-certified to applicable Military and/or Civilian Standards either on-board (in-place) or at our facility. MSCD high pressure flask service process includes, but is not limited to:

- Ultrasonic testing
- End plugs removed & reinstalled per torque values
- Manufacture of new end plugs if required
- Visual inspection
- NDT if required by findings
- Repairs effected if required and authorized
- Hydrostatically tested
- Abrasive blasted and prescribed coating applied
- Welding of end plugs if required and specified

Moisture Separators / Filter Housings:

Recertified to applicable Military Standards and Specification either on-board (in-place) or at the MSCD facility:

- Plugs/caps removed & reinstalled per torque values
- Manufacture of new plugs/caps if necessary
- Visual inspection/repairs/hydro test re-cert
- Preservation coatings applied per specifications

MK-6, MK-7, MK-8 Life Raft Cylinders:

MSCD is approved by NavSea as an authorized recertification facility for .455 cu. ft. and all other life-raft inflation cylinders. Our services include but are not limited to:

- Removal of existing valves
- Visual inspection and condition evaluation
- Hydrostatic testing
- Rebuild or replace valves as necessary
- Cylinder neck thread inspection & evaluation
- Port torque adapter to cylinders
- Torque valves to port adapter
- Paint cylinder necks
- Charge each cylinder to applicable weight (certified air)
- Establish and attach weight information tag

Valves:

MSCD provides and/or services of all types of valves currently in use on military and civilian equipment, whether life-support or commercial applications. Those include but are not limited to: Relief valves, Stop valves, Needle valves,Check valves, CPV, Wog and others

All units are repaired and serviced to applicable Civilian and /or Military Standards Specifications:

- Cleaned to Military Standards, Air or Oxygen
- Repaired or overhauled if necessary
- Tested to Military Standards
- Software kits cleaned, installed and tested

Procure and Fabricate Hoses and Fittings:

Hoses and fittings are serviced and tested in accordance with applicable Civilian and/or Military Standards and Specifications. They are for high, medium and low pressure applications and include but are not limited to:

- Stainless steel braid / Synflex / Charging whips/ Hydraulic, etc.
- Proof tested to Military Standards
- Hydrostatic testing
- Cleaning to Military Standards for Air or Oxygen
- Fittings inspected, tested and cleaned
- Fittings & hoses O2 cleaned if applicable

Recompression Chambers (PVHO):

MSCD offers full service on all PVHO systems, including recompression chambers (single or double-lock) and closed-bell diving systems:

- Inspection and condition evaluation
- Repairs and/or modifications if required
- Viewports inspected or replaced (with approved material)
- Door/hatch seals replaced with new if required
- Piping inspected and repaired and/or modified
- All valves (feed, check, relief, etc.) tested & serviced
- Panel gauges/indicators tested and calibrated
- Shells abrasive blasted and preserved (int. and ext.)
- Entire unit pressure tested to specs and recertified

All PVHO units are serviced, repaired, tested and certified for field use in accordance with applicable ASME/PVHO, NavSea, UCSG and Federal/State OSHA Standards and Specifications.

MSCD's clean room was constructed, and is maintained, in accordance with Federal Standard-209-B, providing:

- Cleaning to MIL-1622
- Cleaning to MIL-STD-1330
- Navy oxygen cleaner (NOC)

- Cleaning to NavSea S6560-AB-MMD-010
- IAW all other applicable Standards

Abrasive- Sand-, Bead- Blasting and Painting:

Our abrasive blasting and painting facilities meets or exceeds all requirements and directives by the EPA of the state of California and APCD San Diego.

- Abrasive blasting conforming to S9086-STNM-010 CH 551 NSTM
- Paint specifications meet requirements of Steel Structures Painting Council

50% of our employees are retired from the Navy or have served in the navy. When called upon to perform PMS, we insure that we are using the latest SFR, MIP and MRC cards.

Divers Training Tank:

- 20 foot ( 6.096 meters) length container
- Container has a standard roll-up door on one end and a walk-in-door at the the other end.
- 10 ft. long (3.05 meters) x 8 ft. (2.44 meters) deep tank spanning the 8 ft. width (3.05 meters) of the container reinforced with 10 I-beams to ensure adequate strength.
- Tank is manufactured with 1/4 plate steel (6.35mm) reinforced with channel iron for every 2 sq. ft. of plate metal.
- 4 ft. (1.22m) x 6ft. (1.83m) plexiglas window.
- Storage area can accommodate an entire Mk-III system.
- Onboard filtration system with 1.5 horsepower pool style pump @ 115v with filter assembly.
- Hose saddles umbilical and drain hose.
- External roof access ladder mounted next to access door.
- Exterior is painted Olive Drab. It is painted with 1 coat of base primer and 2 coats of final color.

This entire container can easily be moved using any standard truck or trailer designed for transporting shipping containers.
 
- Overall approx. weight: Dry: 10,000 lbs. (4,535.9K) With Water: 50.000 lbs.  (22,680 K)
